Death and the Maiden (Der Tod und das Mädchen in German) was a common motif in Renaissance art, especially in German painting and printmaking. The usual form shows just two figures, with a young woman being seized by a personification of Death, often shown as a skeleton. This April 20th I welcome you to explore these romantic motifs with me in my studio.

The Maiden:
Pass me by! Oh, pass me by!
Go, fierce man of bones!
I am still young! Go, dear,
And do not touch me.
And do not touch me.

Death:
Give me your hand, you beautiful and tender form!
I am a friend, and come not to punish.
Be of good cheer! I am not fierce,
Softly shall you sleep in my arms!

Death & The Maiden

Date: April 20th

Sessions: 30 minutes each

Investment: $300 per session ($100 to book with $200 due on or before your session date)

Guaranteed: Minimum 5 finished photos

Sign ups are limited and are on a first come basis, your reservation fee of $100 will be applied to the final total of $300. This includes your studio time(roughly 30mins), posing guidance, some props and costume details will provided, and no fewer than five fully edited beautiful photos of yourself to share on social media, print as a keepsake or to share with that special someone.

Once signed up you will be added to a group chat for all attendee’s, we can discuss details, sneak peaks of the sets as they get built, outfits, hair, and I can answer any questions you may have.

Due to time constraints I do ask that you come to the studio as prepared and ready to shoot as possible.
